Portraits on Portland
documents a neighbourhood in transition, celebrating the people and places along a 5-block strip of the Old Dartmouth section of Portland Street, Nova Scotia's first incorporated town. Portraits on Portland documents a neighbourhood in transition, celebrating the people and places along a 5-block strip of the Old Dartmouth section of Portland Street, Nova Scotia's first incorporated town. This is the first in a series of five suites of community portraits in the province of Nova Scotia –Dartmouth, Yarmouth, Annapolis Royal, Antigonish and Sydney. The completed suites of work are scheduled for exhibition at the Chase Exhibit Room, Nova Scotia Archives, Halifax in August 2015. The suite of sixteen photographs from this exhibition has been purchased by funds provided by Councillor Gloria McCluskey’s discretionary budget for permanent installation at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth –a landmark event in my career! |
